Autodesk Industry Collections
Autodesk Design Suites are being retired and will be replaced by Autodesk Industry Collections as beginning August 1, 2016. Collections are the all new and improved way of subscribing to Autodesk products, and where Design Suites consisted of numerous combinations, Industry Collections keep it simple, allowing you to easily get the products that will help your business the most.
While Autodesk Industry Collections contain a much wider mix of products (and far more value), some companies may still require additional software titles, so rather than having to buy an additional suite (and software you may not use), you can simply choose the Industry Collection that is most appropriate and then as further single subscriptions to any further products you may need to use.
There are principally three key packages now in the collections so choosing the right software should become a whole lot easier going forward.
Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection
The first is the Architecture, Engineering & Construction collection which is a compendium of all the essential products for building, infrastructure and construction businesses in the Autodesk portfolio, as well as access to a wide selection of Autodesk 360 cloud products pertinent to the industry.
This collection includes:
Product Design Collection
The Product Design Collection has all the software that a manufacturing company could need to adapt to the disruption caused by the Future of Making Things (FOMT). You will gain access to top of the range design products, and once you have your ideas, you can link these into one central product. Of these design products, Inventor Professional especially stands out, with its world class 3D design tools, and powerful simulation capability.
Media & Entertainment Collection
The final Autodesk Industry Collection will be the Media & Entertainment Collection. This exceptional collection of visualization and animation software will enable visual artists to create a world class immersive experience in their chosen field, while access to the 360 services such as cloud based rendering will accelerate productivity and help improve customer satisfaction and media deliverables.
This collection contains:
All three Industry Collections are designed to continuously improve so you will see the collections updated with further software titles as these become available. They will offer the chance for flexibility and choice, as subscriptions can be single- or multi-user access, and can also come in various term lengths.
Autodesk Industry Collections have been designed with the cloud in mind, delivering far more cloud services than was available with Design Suites. Industry Collections will provide more value for money than Premium Suites, and switching will be easy, as you will be able to switch to an Industry Collection during a current subscription from October 2016.
